NAFTA freight value down 6.4 percent from 2015; 18th consecutive decrease

Cross-border freight in June declined 6.4 percent from last year to $92.7 billion in total current dollar value. June was the 18th consecutive month that the total value of U.S. freight with North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) partners Canada and Mexico declined from the same month of the previous year, according to the TransBorder Freight Data released today by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS).
