DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. — Concert Group Logistics (CGL) reports the opening of its Omaha station in January 2008 under the leadership of Penny Horner. Horner has operated in the Omaha market since 1989, first as an independent agent for Union Pacific Air Express and then as an independent agent for Lynden Air Freight after Lynden acquired Union Pacific.
Horner says that Nebraska’s central location makes it an ideal transportation hub.
“In addition to its location, Nebraska provides a first class infrastructure and is home to one of the busiest intercontinental highways. Unlike anywhere else, highways here have minimal congestion and no major city is more than four hours by air, three days by truck or five days by rail,” she said in a CGL news release.
Horner along with her operations staff have more than 25 years of experience with transportation logistics.
Gerry Post, president at CGL, views the addition of Horner and her team as a real asset to the CGL network. “With outstanding customer service and an ideal location, I believe the Omaha station is going to be a leading logistics provider.”
With the addition of the Omaha Station, Downers Grove-based CGL says it now has a network of 23 stations throughout the United States, all of which are equipped to handle world-wide transport.
