Wallace named new president and CEO of Webasto unit

FENTON, Mich. — Mark Wallace has been named president and CEO of Webasto Product North America Inc., effective January 2. WPNA is the North American subsidiary of leading global automotive supplier Webasto AG’s Global Comfort Solutions (GCS) business unit.

GCS develops, produces and sells complete interior and cabin comfort enhancing products for all types of vehicles and marine vessels. The temperature management solutions include fuel-operated parking and auxiliary heating systems for cars and heating and air-conditioning systems for trucks, buses, campers, boats and special vehicles.

“Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the North American headquarters which will be the catalyst for our continued growth and pursuit of customer excellence,” said Phillip A. Thompson, president of GCS and member of the Webasto AG management board. “His skills and experience in manufacturing, quality and managing highly complex programs will be a great asset to us in achieving a period of sustained growth while we continue to invest in new technologies aligned with our customers’ comfort needs.”

Wallace joins WPNA from Webasto AG’s Webasto Roof Systems Inc. subsidiary.As vice president of operations and COO of WRSI he was responsible for the operation of WRSI’s six manufacturing facilities that generate over $400 Million in annual sales. Wallace has a bachelor of science degree in engineering and an MBA from the University of Tennessee.

Webasto Product North America Inc., based in Fenton, Mich., provides a wide range of sunroofs, thermosystems, air conditioning and other products to the heavy-duty truck, bus, defense, marine, RV and light-duty passenger vehicle markets.

Webasto AG is a 106-year old company based in Stockdorf, Germany and employs more than 6,000 people in more than 40 countries.
