Hub International acquires Montana trucking insurance specialist

CHICAGO — Hub International Limited reported Monday that Hub International Transportation Insurance Services Inc. (HUB Transportation) has acquired Billings, Montana-based Lenhardt Insurance Agency Inc., an insurance broker specializing in commercial trucking insurance services. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“This acquisition presents an impressive market opportunity to expand throughout the state of Montana,” said Dale Kaufman, HUB Transportation’s chief executive officer. “At the same time, it also supports our initiative to join with the most experienced professionals to further enhance our speciality focus.”

Lenhardt was founded in 1963 by John Lenhardt. Agency President Mark Lenhardt, his son, is an insurance veteran who has over 25 years of industry experience.

“Becoming part of HUB allows us to make an extensive list of product offerings available to our clients,” said Mark Lenhardt. “This transaction also grants us access to tools, resources and other insurance experts to become an even stronger resource for those we service.”
