KNOXVILLE, Tenn.—Professional Drivers Medical Depots (PDMD) is hosting health fairs for professional drivers through Friday PDMD locations in Knoxville, Tenn., West Memphis, Ark., Peru, Ill., and Atlanta.

The fair is designed to provide drivers in need with free services and information to help them improve their health.

“We have designed this health fair to meet the schedules and needs of professional drivers,” said Dr. John McElligott, chairman and chief medical officer for PDMD.  “We know that many drivers don’t have the time or money to keep up with their health care which may have them at risk. We understand, and just as we operate our regular clinics to meet these constraints, we plan to hold this health fair to meet the truckers’ lifestyle.  Our ultimate goal is to help these drivers improve their lifestyle, quality of life and overall health, and we’ll do what it takes to make that happen.”

All clinics will provide free wellness exams, hearing exams, sleep studies, blood pressure checks, flu shots and blood sugar checks.

Furthermore, drivers can receive diet information, exercise information, stroke/heart attack information and other health-related and educational supplies. Doctors will be available throughout the week to allow professional drivers the opportunity to check on their health conditions as well.  Each clinic will also have a raffle for gift cards from the Iron Skillet and Petro Shops.

“Drivers passing by any of the PDMD locations should stop in to take advantage of the free services and information,” said McElligott.

Here is specific information about each location:
