4 hurt as school bus, dump truck collide in Florida

MIAMI COUNTY, Fla. — Authorities in Miami County Thursday said four people were injured in a collision between a school bus and a dump truck, according to a WHIO TV report.
The collision happened around 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of Peterson and Troy-Sidney roads.
Authorities said a dump truck that was traveling west on Peterson Road ran a stop sign and slammed into the bus, which was traveling north on Troy-Sidney Road.
The dump truck then went about 700 feet into a field, where it stopped.
Investigators said the school bus driver was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy and then transferred by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital.
A student and an aide who were on the bus suffered minor injuries. The driver of the dump truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center.
The collision remains under investigation.
