Fatal accident closes I-94 in Wisconsin

An 80,000 gallon tanker, carrying liquid asphalt, overturned and spilled its load on I-94. Sheriff’s officials closed the interstate in both directions near Calhoun Rd. following the accident, but reopened eastbound lanes as commuter traffic began to build.

WAUKESHA, Wis. — A deadly collision between a tanker truck, semi and a car closed Interstate 94 in Waukesha County early Wednesday.

One person has died, but authorities haven’t provided details on the fatality.

Sheriff’s officials closed the interstate in both directions near Calhoun Rd. following the accident, but reopened eastbound lanes as commuter traffic began to build.
