NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Affiliated Computer Services Inc. (ACS) has completed its new TripPak SERVICES facilities in Louisville, Ky., and is now partnering with UPS following its transition from its former location in Wilmington, Ohio.

“Our partnership with UPS gives our clients more choices and greater convenience, without any price changes,” said Kelley Walkup, division vice president and general manager of ACS Expedited Solutions. “Our relationship with UPS offers additional reliability and network breadth to exceed our clients’ expectations.”

Originally, ACS established operations in Wilmington to be close to its previous service provider’s (DHL) service hub to enable processing time-sensitive documents rapidly. During this past summer, DHL closed some of its service locations.

“It became clear that the best plan of action to keep our service level high for our customers was to relocate to Louisville, closer to UPS. We immediately began planning proactively to ensure a smooth transition,” said Walkup. “We’ll conclude the re-location this week with no service interruption for our customers. Our comprehensive planning and testing of our operations will ensure a seamless transition for all of our customers.”

Now located near the UPS delivery hub, primary package sorting and delivery for the TripPak EXPRESS and TripPak OVERNIGHT services were set to begin at the recently completed ACS facility on Strawberry Lane in Louisville on Nov. 14.

ACS said it will continue using more than 1,300 TripPak drop boxes, with the addition of the vast network of UPS boxes and facilities. In addition, the relocation provides both full and part-time employment opportunities for Louisville-area residents.

ACS, a global FORTUNE 500 company with about 63,000 people supporting client operations reaching more than 100 countries, provides business process outsourcing and information technology solutions to world-class commercial and government clients.
