READING, Pa. — Penske Truck Leasing has opened a new collision repair center in the Atlanta-suburb of Lithia Springs, Ga., located at 400 Interstate West Parkway. The new 20,000-square-foot facility provides collision services for chassis, body and trailer repairs, complete vehicle refinishing, and frame and alignment work for commercial trucks and vehicles, the company said. Penske Truck Leasing operates 16 other commercial truck collision repair centers across North America.

“This state-of-the-art center uses the latest environmentally friendly repair and refinish techniques,” stated Frank Mileto, senior vice president — business ventures, Penske Truck Leasing. “We have installed special high efficiency paint spray booths that help filter the great majority of emissions to protect the environment. These booths employ smart technology that minimizes energy and fuel consumption, and has an improved air filtration system.”

The facility, which sits on seven acres, has five service bays, and uses special light fixtures that reduce energy use by 50 percent. The facility serves the needs of Penske’s own truck fleet and contract customers as well as commercial truck fleets from other regional businesses.

“This facility helps us keep pace with the demand for repair services in the greater Atlanta region and also supports our existing facility in Norcross,” said John Crockett, senior vice president — Southeast region, Penske Truck Leasing. “We expect to hire additional associates and expand our hours of operation in 2009 as we gain additional customers throughout Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.”
