BRIDGETON, Mo. — Hunter Engineering has introduced the GSP9600HD ForceMatch wheel balancer that the company says offers vibration management and wheel uniformity measurement to a wide range of vehicles from passenger cars to heavy-duty trucks.

The new universal ForceMatch balancer uses loaded roller contact to measure run out (eccentricity) of a tire and rim assembly and minimize wheel-related vibration.  With pinpoint accuracy and a robust structural design, the GSP9600HD can balance wheels with rims from 10 to 30 inches in diameter and assembly weights up to 500 pounds, according to Jim Huhn, director of advertising at Hunter.

“The GSP9600HD includes many innovative features found on existing Hunter wheel balancers to improve accuracy, speed and profitability of heavy-duty truck service,” Huhn said.  “Using the loaded roller, the GSP9600HD automatically measures wheel assembly diameter and locates the true high spot with every balance.  With this information, technicians can match-mount tire high spots and rim low spots to optimize the rolling uniformity of a wheel assembly and properly mount dual wheels by diameter and eccentricity to maximize tire wear and ride quality.”

Huhn said the standard SmartWeight balancing technology minimizes correction weight usage and maximizes productivity over conventional static and dynamic methods.

A standard integrated wheel lift easily lifts the heaviest wheel assemblies for effortless mounting on the balancer, he said.

“The lift controls are conveniently located on the balancer hood, so the operator can control the lift and easily position the wheel on the balancer shaft using the gliding wheel trolley,” Huhn said.

Hunter Engineering is a world leader in wheel alignment, brake service, wheel service and safety inspection lane equipment.  Hunter equipment is approved and used by vehicle manufacturers, automobile and truck dealers, tire dealers and automotive service facilities around the world.
