CEVA Logistics earns Safe Partner award

HOUSTON — The Freight Management Division of CEVA Logistics said Wednesday the company’s Patrick, Nevada, facility has been awarded the “Safe Partner Award” by the Safety Consultation and Training Section (SCATS) of the State of Nevada’s Division of Industrial Relations.
The “Safe Partner Award” is designed to increase both employer and employee knowledge of safety and its value in the workplace. To qualify for the award, CEVA participated in a voluntary, comprehensive survey and supervisors attended SCATS’s training courses designed to enhance employee safety awareness, according to a company news release.
“Receiving this distinguished award confirms CEVA’s commitment to the safety and health of our employees, customers and suppliers,” said Joe Bento, president, CEVA Freight Management.
CEVA’s Patrick facility is dedicated to managing Dell Inc.’s West Coast Fulfillment Center, located in the Patrick facility where CEVA consolidates finished computers with accessories and peripherals into a box before shipping to the end customer.
CEVA Logistics provides end-to-end design, implementation and operation of logistics solutions in contract logistics, freight forwarding, distribution management and transportation management for large and medium- sized national and multinational companies.
