UDOT asks motorists to slow down in construction zones

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Transportation is asking motorists to slow down in the Interstate 80 construction zone east of State Street in Salt Lake City.
Department spokesman Adan Carillo says many motorists are driving 65 miles per hour, 10 mph over the construction speed limit. The Utah Highway Patrol says that's resulting in more accidents.
