HOUSTON — Accident investigation and reconstruction specialist ATA Associates recently released “The Road Series 3 — Level 1 Vehicle Inspections,” the newest program in its series of truck driver training DVDs. The seventeen-minute program covers the requirements of the North American Standard Level 1 Inspection Procedure. A Level 1 vehicle inspection covers not only the driver’s paperwork but also the entire vehicle, including the underside.

ATA’s newest DVD walks drivers through the entire procedure, following the inspection format set by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance or CVSA. The DVD is designed to educate truck drivers on what to expect during the inspection procedure.

According to former NASA engineer and ATA founder Bob Swint, “We are pleased to use our extensive accident reconstruction knowledge and experience in developing this important truck safety series. Look for more comprehensive truck safety DVDs in the near future. We strive to be not only experts in accident reconstruction, but also trusted experts in safety training.”

It is but a small leap from accident reconstruction to accident prevention, ATA says. Tight deadlines, equipment failures and poor road conditions are just a few of the challenges faced by today’s truck driver.

ATA Associates provides accident reconstruction, forensic engineering and litigation support to truck, automotive, railroad, marine and heavy equipment industries.
