On-highway diesel prices soar to $4.497
Diesel prices were almost to $4.50 on May 19 for a U.S. average cost per gallon.

The weekly retail on-highway diesel price U.S. average on May 19 was up 16.6 cents to $4.497, up $1.694 from the same week one year ago.
Every region showed an increase of at least 14 cents, with California jumping 19 cents a gallon to $4.737, higher than any region.
The Central Atlantic region topped the chart with a price of $4.682, jumping 16.6, just like the U.S. average.
The lease expensive region for the week was the Rocky Mountain region at $4.442, just below the Gulf Coast at $4.443.
