NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — A pregnant woman and a truck driver are dead after a car collided with a tractor-trailer in Westmoreland County.
The coroner says 24-year-old Becky Lee Horne of Vandergrift and 51-year-old Thomas Nale of Knox were killed in the Wednesday morning crash along Route 366 in Lower Burrell.
Authorities say Horne’s car drove onto the berm, went back onto the roadway and then crossed the centerline into the path of Nale’s tractor-trailer hauling coal ash.
Authorities say Horne wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and Nale was.
The coroner says Horne and Nale died of blunt force trauma and toxicology tests will not be available for several weeks.
