Diesel up 3.7 cents to another record at $4.764

On-highway diesel prices hit another record July 14: $4.764 per gallon.

The weekly on-highway diesel prices rose for the second week straight, this time climbing $0.037 per gallon to $4.764 per gallon which is up a staggering $1.875 per gallon from the same week last year, according to figures provided by the Energy Information Administration.

Diesel prices jumped in every region and California as reported by EIA. The highest price per gallon was found in the Central Atlantic region ($4.912), followed closely by the West Coast ($4.817).

California was at $5.026 per gallon, up $0.025 a gallon from a week ago.

The best regional average was found in the Midwest where the average price per gallon was $4.698, up $0.044 per gallon from one year ago.
