Old Dominion offers new warehouse service

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. is expanding its supply chain services with a new warehouse service , Senior Vice President of Strategic Development Rick Keeler reported Tuesday.
“We are very excited about our entry into the warehouse and distribution service space,” said Keeler. “Our warehousing solutions are designed to assist companies without in-house logistics services. We want to help those companies focus on their core competencies by supporting them with our warehousing solution.”
The warehouse offering will provide state-of-the art warehouse management systems that are powered by SAP from strategically located facilities in the nation’s major gateways, according to ODFL. It will offer numerous value-added services such as pick and pack, replenishment, labeling, Web-based visibility, reporting and others.
Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. is a less-than-truckload super regional carrier. Its four operating groups are OD•Domestic, OD•Expedited, OD•Global and OD•Technology.
