BISCOE, Ark. — Interstate 40 just east of the White River bridge in Arkansas reopened about 7 p.m. CDT after what Arkansas State Police said was an accident involving four tractor-trailer rigs and two cars.

Authorities said just after the road reopened that it would take a while for the traffic to clear.

Truckers still wanting to avoid the accident, westbound traffic can exit I-40 at Exit 216 at Brinkley and return to the road at Exit 202 near here.

Details of the accident will be released later.
