WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — State and local officials on Monday announced the opening of a new distribution center in West Memphis that will employ 50 workers.

The center, operated by DSC Logistics, will distribute products made by The J.M. Smucker Company. DSC Logistics, based in Des Plaines, Ill., works with companies in the packaged goods, food, health care and electronics sectors.

“The logistical advantages of West Memphis make it a great site for the location of this distribution facility,” Gov. Mike Beebe said. “The location and workforce here create a strong place to invest, and east Arkansas families will benefit from the new jobs this facility brings.”
