U.S. average diesel price dives nearly 15 cents a gallon
In California, which usually feels the pinch the most from high prices, diesel went down 17.4 cents a gallon, from $4.781 last week to $4.607 today.

Diesel didn’t take just a dip, it took a dive today in all Department of Energy reporting regions, with the U.S. average price plunging 14.9 cents a gallon to land at $4.353.
In California, which usually feels the pinch the most from high prices, diesel went down 17.4 cents a gallon, from $4.781 last week to $4.607 today.
Truckers traversing the Lower Atlantic states also were getting some relief: prices in those areas were averaging $4.344 a gallon, compared with $4.501 the week before, a decrease of 15.7 cents.
The West Coast region checked in with a drop of 15.3 cents a gallon, $4.511 today compared with $4.664 last week.
There was no word from DOE’s Energy Information Administration why there was a delay Monday afternoon in posting the diesel prices, but for many, it may have been worth the wait.
