Comdata launches Form 2290 electronic filing solution

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — Comdata Corp. had intrduced its electronic filing solution for the IRS’ Heavy Vehicle Use Tax Return Form 2290. Congress has mandated electronic filing for all carriers with 25 or more vehicles. Comdata’s electronic solution is designed to make it simple and easy for carriers to comply with this mandate.

Comdata says it is licensed as an authorized IRS e-filer and will offer carriers a choice for e-filing. The self-service option will provide carriers the flexibility to handle the majority of the filing themselves, while the full-service option features. Comdata experts who will assist carriers throughout the process.

Comdata’s e-filing solution will also simplify the process for carriers by providing the ability to import/export data from Excel files, the company said. The Schedule 1 IRS e-file watermark copy will be available within 24 hours.
