THOMASVILLE, N.C. — L.B. Clayton, vice president of the Midsouth region for Old Dominion Freight Line Inc., reports a service center relocation and expansion to Waynesboro, Va. The newly constructed 30-door facility is located on a 7-acre site at 40 Westbrook Court, Fishersville, Va., less than a mile off of I-64.

According to Clayton, the Waynesboro Service Center will continue operations under the leadership of Service Center Manager Spencer Sykes, who will direct a staff 22.

“With this relocation, we now have a more central location in our service area with easy access to I-81 and I-64,” said Clayton. “This will make our arrival times of inbound loads earlier than we get them now, allowing us to process the freight earlier and get our deliveries to the customers earlier in the day. Also, with the increase in dock doors and a larger platform dock, we will be much more efficient in our dock operations.”
