Diesel falls again to $4.502, down 21.6 cents in 2 weeks

Diesel dropped 10.1 cents this week after falling 11.5 cents last week.

For the second week in a row, diesel prices have dropped, while oil prices have continued to fluctuate, meaning anything could happen to the prices.

The U.S. weekly on-highway diesel average price per gallon dropped $0.101 Monday to $4.502, down from $4.603 last week, according to the Energy Information Administration figures provided weekly.

The price per gallon average for the U.S., however, is still way higher than a year ago; it’s up $1.604 from the same week in 2007.

Diesel prices dropped in every region this week, with the cheapest price found in the Midwest at $4.419 per gallon. The most expensive place was the New England region at $4.735 a gallon.

California prices were down $0.099 per gallon to $4.781, but up $1.641 from one year ago.
