BirdDog Solutions launches logistics division

ANDOVER, Mass. & OMAHA, Neb. — Citing customer requests to add additional freight management capabilities to its suite of services, BirdDog Solutions has formed BirdDog Logistics Services LLC.

A new division, BDLS is designed to provide freight management and brokerage services to shippers in need of reliable transportation solutions and to motor carriers with available capacity. Acting as an intermediary between the two, BDLS will provide these services to shippers looking for carriers which will reliably meet their commitments at competitive transit rates.

David Wendell, chairman of BirdDog Solutions, Inc., says he is excited at the opportunity to provide shippers with the added flexibility they need to handle shipments on a “spot” and/or routine basis.

Leading the direction of BDLS is Bill Carter, who brings more than 20 years of transportation experience to the team. With a proven track record of building large and successful brokerage operations, Carter has held several management positions with major shippers, equipment providers, and 3PL/brokerage firms such as Werner and CRST. Rounding out the team is an experienced group of freight managers consisting of transportation and logistics experts across all areas of the freight brokerage market.
