SAN MATEO, Calif. — Menlo Worldwide Logistics, a subsidiary of freight transportation and logistics company Con-way Inc., said Thursday it is relocating certain functions in Mexico.

The company will relocate functions including sales, finance, administrative, transportation management and engineering from Mexico City to Guadalajara.

It said Guadalajara is a growing high-tech market and moving certain functions there will allow the company to tap into the region's labor pool and better serve existing and future customers.

Menlo said it will continue to serve Mexico City through its existing network of distribution centers and account representatives.

Menlo said it currently manages more than 15,000 square meters of warehouse space in Mexico with distribution facilities in Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara.
