The retail on-highway diesel price for the U.S. fell for the second week, down $0.011 to $2.790 a gallon, according to the Energy Information Administration.
The average price was down $0.019 per gallon from the same week last year.
The most expensive place to buy diesel this week is the Central Atlantic region at $2.912 per gallon, which was down $0.014 a gallon from last week.
The least expensive region was the Gulf Coast at $2.733 per gallon, down $0.013 a gallon from last week.
California was at $2.964 a gallon, down $0.008 per gallon from last week, and up $0.131 per gallon from one year ago.
The Midwest region was the only other area with an increase from last year, up $0.005 per gallon to $2.769 a gallon.
