MIAMI — Florida's Turnpike officials want motorists’ thoughts on proposed toll rates that will be introduced in early 2011 when the turnpike eliminates cash collection between Florida City and Miramar.
The new toll charges will set cash rates 25 cents higher than SunPass at all turnpike toll plazas statewide.
A first-ever "Webinar" — live Web seminar — will be held on the issue today at 6 p.m.
People can log on the Internet, watch the live presentation, ask questions and submit comments from anywhere. Those without a computer, Internet or an e-mail address can view the Webinar at one of five locations around the state.
A video of today’s meeting will be posted on the turnpike's Web site for those who can't attend. Comments will be accepted until Dec. 1.
