Diesel drops 1.2 cents to $2.775

The only region not dropping in price was New England, which was up $0.001 per gallon to $2.869 a gallon.

The weekly retail on-highway diesel prices dropped this week to $2.775 per gallon according to the Energy Information Administration.

The average U.S. price was $0.012 per gallon less than last week, and $0.160 per gallon more than this time a year ago.

The only region not dropping in price was New England, which was up $0.001 per gallon to $2.869 a gallon.

The Central Atlantic region was the most expensive at $2.900 per gallon, while the least expensive diesel was found in the Gulf Coast region at $2.724 per gallon.

Meanwhile, California’s price was $2.948 per gallon, down $0.006 from last week and up $0.410 from a year ago.
