DALLAS — Frozen Food Express Industries Inc. has expanded its regional service on the west coast. Beginning April 6, FFE said it will provide overnight and two day LTL service for intra-state California and two day service between the Pacific Northwest and California.
The expansion is in response to customer demand for enhanced service options for temperature controlled LTL shipments moving between California and the Pacific Northwest on the I-5 corridor, according to the carrier.
“We are pleased to be able to offer the same reliable service our customers have come to expect in this new market,” said Joe Jaska, FFE vice president of LTL Operations. “Our expanded regional service coupled with the introduction of our on-line, real time shipment tracking function via the customer web portal will keep FFE the industry leader in full service temperature controlled LTL.”
The regional expansion into major markets on the west coast is meant to complement FFE’s existing nationwide LTL network.
