Inspection on I-40 bridge between W. Memphis and Memphis requires closures
Weather permitting, the inspection will require the westbound, outside lane to be closed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Upon completion, the eastbound, outside lane will be closed Thursday and Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

LITTLE ROCK — Crews performing a routine inspection on the Interstate 40 bridge over the Mississippi River between West Memphis and Memphis will require lane closures Monday, May 11th through Friday, May 15th, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
Weather permitting, the inspection will require the westbound, outside lane to be closed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Upon completion, the eastbound, outside lane will be closed Thursday and Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
As always, motorists are urged to use an alternate route if possible and to exercise caution when approaching and traveling through highway work zones. Motorists may monitor live traffic flow through the West Memphis area by visiting www.arkansashighways.com and clicking on “Roads.”
