Diesel up less than a penny to $2.674

Diesel has increased in price for the past seven weeks, but only for a total of $0.132, according to the Energy Information Administration.

Today’s U.S. average was $2.674 per gallon, down $1.447 a gallon from the same week last year. The increase from last week was only $0.006 per gallon.

The East Coast (-$0.001), Central Atlantic (-$0.002), and Gulf Coast (-$0.004) regions all dropped in price this week, while the others increased not more than 2 cents a gallon.

The highest price per gallon was on the West Coast at $2.802, the lowest in the Gulf Coast area at $2.618.

California was at $2.893 per gallon, down $1.389 a gallon from the same week last year.
