WASHINGTON — The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has launched a new Web site at http://csa2010.fmcsa.dot.gov, to educate truck and bus companies, commercial vehicle drivers, and federal and state law enforcement personnel about a new compliance and inspection program created to improve large truck and bus safety and reduce crashes, injuries and fatalities.

CSA 2010 is a safety measurement system that identifies unsafe behaviors before the carriers and drivers are deemed high-crash risks.  FMCSA expects the program to be fully implemented throughout the U.S. by December 2010.

Trucking industry stakeholders can sign up for CSA2010 email updates at http://csa2010.fmcsa.dot.gov/subscription.aspx
