Mack has announced it will be increasing employment by about 125 people at its Macungie Assembly Operations in Macungie, Pa., beginning the first week of October.  He said through July, Mack’s U.S. retail sales are up about 17 percent. “You might recall that last month we publicized a 325-truck order from Chrysler Group Transport which effectively will replace this new Mack customer's entire fleet operating in the U.S and Canada. Not every customer gives us permission to publicize their orders, but this one is indicative of the positive response we're getting from a number of customers who are impressed with our newest products.”
