50th anniversary Mid-West Truck Show to be held Feb. 3-4

The show includes expanded displays, programs and space for nearly 200 exhibitors to help truck operators move ahead in a complex market while facing the challenges of changing regulations, an uncertain economy and increased costs, organizers said.

PEORIA, Ill. — The 50th anniversary Mid-West Truck and Trailer Show will be held Feb. 3-4, 2012, at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria.

Organizers said the 2012 show will continue its growth pattern with more exhibitors and the successful “Trucker’s Pride” Truck Beauty Contest, held indoors for work and show trucks.

Show hours will be 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Feb. 3 and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 4.

The show includes expanded displays, programs and space for nearly 200 exhibitors to help truck operators move ahead in a complex market while facing the challenges of changing regulations, an uncertain economy and increased costs, organizers said.

Show attendees will see displays of the newest tractors, trailers, engines, parts, accessories, communication and computer equipment, tires, lubricants, services and much more.

In addition, representatives of all state and federal government agencies that deal with the trucking industry will be available for discussion.

The “Truckers Pride” Truck Beauty Contest expands for its fifth year with an antique truck category and includes cash prizes, trophies and recognition for its winners.

The Mid-West Truck Show is held in conjunction with the 50th anniversary Convention of the Mid-West Truckers Association.
