Overnight road work closing I-40 east in North Carolina
The North Carolina Department of Transportation said I-40 east between exit 130 and exit 132 will close from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting March 25 and going through April 5.

CONOVER, N.C. — Construction crews will close a section of eastbound Interstate 40 near Conover during the overnight hours for nearly the next two weeks.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation said I-40 east between exit 130 and exit 132 will close from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday, March 25, and going through April 5.
Crews are shutting the lanes so they can continue to replace the NC Highway 16 bridge over the interstate.
