LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky highway officials say a pavement and median barrier replacement project carrying a $22 million price tag is set to begin.

The work will take place on a 4.2-mile stretch of Interstate 65 between downtown and the Watterson Expressway and is scheduled to start Friday and run through April 9.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokeswoman Andrea Clifford told The Courier-Journal (http://cjky.it/GXWW00 ) that left lanes closed in each direction to allow for construction of a new 50-inch-high concrete median barrier.
