Diesel drops to $3.729, lowest price in 8 months
The lowest regional price was in the Gulf Coast at $3.654, followed closely by the Midwest, at $3.655 and the Lower Atlantic, $3.66.

WASHINGTON — The average price for a gallon of diesel has dropped a nickel or so for the sixth week in a row — the 11th decline in 12 weeks — bringing the cost of fuel to the lowest level in 8 months.
Officially, the nationwide retail on-highway price for a gallon of diesel dropped 5.2 cents to come in at $3.729, according to the June 18 report by the Energy Information Administration of the Department of Energy. The last time the price of diesel was lower was the week of Oct. 10, 2011, when it was $3.721.
Diesel is now 22.1 cents cheaper than it was a year ago.

The West Coast saw the biggest decrease, down 9.2 cents per gallon, while the Lower Atlantic region was down 6.1 cents per gallon.
The New England region had the highest regional price at $3.923, although the state premium in California brought the average cost of a gallon of diesel there to $3.966 — and that’s down a dime.
The lowest regional price was in the Gulf Coast at $3.654, followed closely by the Midwest, at $3.655 and the Lower Atlantic, $3.66.
