LITTLE ROCK – Construction work will require lane closures at the Interstate 430/630 (Big Rock) Interchange Wednesday night, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will be hanging overhead signs on Interstate 430 southbound.

The work will reduce Interstate 430 southbound traffic to two lanes within the interchange. Also, the southbound I-430 to eastbound I-630, Markham Street, and Shackleford Road/Hermitage loop ramp (southwest loop) and Exit 6B (Markham Street exit) will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to Exit 5 to access Hermitage Road, Shackleford Road, Markham Street and eastbound I-630.

The closures will be Wednesday night, October 2nd through Thursday morning, October 3rd between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., weather permitting.

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at ArkansasHighways.com.
