DUNMORE, Pa. — Emergency repairs to a hole in a bridge have been tying up traffic on Interstate 81 in northeastern Pennsylvania.

PennDOT says a single-lane closure was expected to remain in effect for much of the day Monday on the northbound interstate near Dunmore, in Lackawanna County.

That's where the 3-by-4-foot hole opened in the passing lane of a bridge. Crews have been pouring concrete, but say it will take several hours to set.

The problem surfaced about 7:30 a.m. and was expected to tie up traffic indefinitely.
