New Mexico weather-related driving conditions improve

AGUA FRIA, N.M. — Weather-related driving conditions are improving on highways in rural areas of northern New Mexico where snow fell Thursday.

The state Department of Transportation says highways in the vicinity of Holman, Red River, Agua Fria and Idlewild are wet with blowing snow in some areas creating icy spots.

Crews are out plowing, salting and cindering.

Affected highways include U.S. 64 between Agua Fria and Idlewild and segments of New Mexico Routes 38, 434 and 518.
