GREAT FALLS, Mont. — A truck dealership plans a new building near the Great Falls airport.

Airport Director John Faulkner says the airport authority has reached an agreement to lease seven acres of land to Interstate Companies, Inc., for 25 years, starting at just under $37,000 a year.

Interstate Companies CEO Travis Penrod says the company plans to build a $2 million I-State Truck Center that will have 11 maintenance bays and a wash bay, a showroom and a parts warehouse.

The current Great Falls I-State Truck Center is located on Vaughn Road and has 24 employees. Penrod says they hope to hire more when the new building is completed, probably by 2015.

I-State Truck Center also has locations in Billings and Missoula as well as in Minnesota, Iowa and South Dakota.
