Testing means lane closures in central Arkansas

The State Highway and Transportation Department says workers will be taking samples ahead of the widening of Interstate 40 and modifications to the Interstate 40/430 Interchange.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas drivers can expect lane closures this month on Interstates 40 and 430 in Pulaski County.

The State Highway and Transportation Department says workers will be taking samples ahead of the widening of Interstate 40 and modifications to the Interstate 40/430 Interchange.

Crews plan to close I-40 eastbound and westbound inside lanes extending from Highway 365 at Morgan to just east of the Interstate 40/430 Interchange. The westbound inside lane will be closed Wednesday and Thursday. The eastbound inside lane will be closed Thursday and Friday.

I-430 northbound and southbound inside lanes near the Interstate 40/430 Interchange also will be closed. The southbound inside lane will be closed Friday and the northbound inside lane will be closed Monday.

All work will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
