PHOENIX — The Arizona Department of Transportation says a rehabilitation project for the Virgin River Gorge corridor along Interstate 15 is set to begin in early 2014.

The effort is aimed at modernizing the series of bridges which were constructed in the 1960s and early 1970s in the northwestern corner of Arizona.

ADOT is warning drivers well in advance that if traveling during those time periods between Mesquite, Nev., and St. George, Utah, to plan ahead, expect delays and drive carefully as the road will be narrowed to one lane in each direction at times.
