CINCINNATI — Drivers going north through Cincinnati on Interstate 75 could face delays because of interchange construction.

The Ohio Department of Transportation urges drivers to consider alternate routes when northbound traffic is shifted west onto new pavement with various ramp and lane closures.

The work around the Mitchell Avenue interchange just north of downtown Cincinnati is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Thursday and wrap up Saturday morning at 6.

Message boards will be used to inform motorists of closures and traffic changes. Drivers are asked to slow down and stay alert while passing through the work zone.

Similar work on southbound I-75 traffic was done earlier this month.
