Diesel declines for fourth consecutive week

WASHINGTON — The average on-highway price of a gallon of diesel dropped another 4.1 cents a gallon to $4.006 for the week ending March 25, according to the Energy Information Administration of the Department of Energy.
It is the fourth consecutive weekly decline since the price peaked at $4.157 a gallon for the week ending Feb. 25.
The price declined in all four regions with California leading the way at a 6.5 cent drop, followed by the total West Coast region at 6.1 cents a gallon.
The March 25 price is 14.1 cents a gallon lower than the same week one year ago.
