I-95 exit into Pawtucket closed for 6 weeks

PAWTUCKET, R.I. — State transportation officials say they're temporarily closing an exit off Interstate 95 into downtown Pawtucket while work continues on a bridge replacement project.
Exit 27 off I-95 South will be closed March 18, and will stay shut down for approximately six weeks. Motorists will be asked to use exit 30 or exit 25 instead.
Crews are working to replace the Pawtucket River Bridge. Closing the exit will allow them to demolish a temporary exit ramp and transition to a permanent exit.
The bridge and construction surrounding it is expected to be completed this summer.
