CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Blowing snow is keeping a stretch of Interstate 80 closed in southern Wyoming.
Eastbound lanes of I-80 were closed Friday between Rawlins and Cheyenne, a smaller stretch than was closed for much of Thursday.
Interstate 25 from Cheyenne south into Colorado is fully open after a crash near Cheyenne earlier in the morning.
Even though skies are clear, Wyoming Department of Transportation cautions that roadways remain slick, and blowing snow is severely reducing visibility in some spots.
A three-day spring storm this week dropped up to 3 feet of snow on some mountain areas and more than a foot in Cheyenne and Casper.
