LIBERTY, Mo. — Southbound Interstate 35 has partly reopened in the Kansas City area after a tractor-trailer overturned.
The Missouri Department of Transportation says the crash occurred shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday in Liberty near construction of a new highway interchange. No serious injuries were reported.
All southbound lanes on I-35 were initially closed near the intersection of Missouri 291.
MoDOT said one lane was reopened at midafternoon, but others were to remain closed while debris was cleared from the roadway.
