Penske Leasing orders 100 CNG Freightliner Cascadias

The natural gas tractors will be used by Penske’s full-service truck leasing and commercial truck rental customers at various locations across the U.S. Penske Truck Leasing estimates that before the year’s end, it will have more than 200 natural gas tractors within its fleet for use by its full-service truck leasing customers and commercial truck rental customers.

Penske Truck Leasing announced it has ordered 100 compressed natural gas (CNG) Freightliner Cascadia tractors equipped with Cummins Westport 12-liter engines.

The natural gas tractors will be used by Penske’s full-service truck leasing and commercial truck rental customers at various locations across the U.S. Penske Truck Leasing estimates that before the year’s end, it will have more than 200 natural gas tractors within its fleet for use by its full-service truck leasing customers and commercial truck rental customers.

Last week, Penske Truck Leasing said they will be providing commercial truck fleet maintenance services for 22 Ford 2013 E-450 liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)-powered bread delivery trucks owned by Alpha Baking Company Inc., a national bakery products distributor.

In April, Penske Truck Leasing was selected as a 2013 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) SmartWay Affiliate Challenge Award winner. As one of seven organizations nationwide to win this award, Penske is the only transportation company to receive this honor.
