TULSA, Okla.  — Melton Truck Lines employees and their families now have access to an innovative, new healthcare clinic at the carrier’s international corporate headquarters here.

The clinic, managed by IMWell Health, will provide enhanced primary healthcare services to all Melton Truck Lines’ employees and their family members, according to Melton President Bob Peterson.

This new benefit continues Melton’s tradition of working hard to help their employees and families maintain their health.  Melton’s efforts have not gone unnoticed, Peterson said.

The company’s iCare Health and Wellness program won the 2011 Oklahoma Champions of Health Award for Large Businesses.  The company has also been recognized for several years as an Oklahoma Certified Healthy Business, and an American Heart Association’s – Fit Friendly Company (Gold Status).

“We strive to make Melton Truck Lines a healthier workplace.  We understand that access to quality healthcare is difficult for our staff and drivers. This clinic will greatly enhance employee and family access to quality medical care and chronic disease management,” Peterson said.  “Ultimately this allows us to provide even better health benefits while also working to improve our health and lower healthcare costs.”

The clinic will provide primary care without any copays or expense to our employees, according to Angie Buchanan, vice president of safety and human resources.  “Additionally, employees will notice benefits like reduced wait times, extended time with a provider, and the ability to schedule prompt medical appointments,” she said.  “Our clinic, paired with our Health Concierge service, will help our employees navigate the complex world of healthcare and insurance.”
